KEEP YOUR SEPTIC SYSTEM FLOWING SMOOTHLY WITH PROFESSIONAL JETT CLEANING SERVICES

Your septic system is made up of a network of perforated pipes that slowly drain effluent into the field around your system. Over time, these perforations can become clogged with sludge, grease, and other debris, making your system less efficient. The jett cleaning process addresses these clogs throughout your entire system, from tank to pipes, ensuring optimal flow.

  • Inspection and Diagnosis: We begin with a camera inspection to identify signs of poor drainage, such as retained effluent or excessive sludge in the field lines. Once we confirm that the field is clogged or draining slowly, we move on to the next step.
  • Access the Field Lines: Using a mini excavator, we dig up the lower header line—located furthest from the tank—to access all lateral runs in the field. We also dig a parallel trench beside the lines to collect the displaced sludge and water during the cleaning process.
  • High-Pressure Jett Cleaning: A specialized pressure-washing unit is used to scour the interior of each line. This equipment is designed to pull sludge and buildup out of the pipes, restoring their internal volume and improving flow.
  • Post-Cleaning Inspection: Each run is re-inspected to ensure the lines are clear and operating at full capacity. On average, about 250 gallons of water are used during the cleaning, though this varies based on the system’s size.
  • Final Steps: The trench is now filled with effluent and loosened sludge, which we remove using a pumper truck. The original header is reinstalled, and all excavated areas are backfilled to restore the site.

BioFlow’s professional jett cleaning service revitalizes your septic system by eliminating blockages and buildup, promoting efficient operations and preventing costly repairs down the line.

What is jett cleaning for septic systems?

Jett cleaning is a professional method that uses high-pressure water to clear blockages, grease, and sludge from inside your septic tank and drain lines. It’s an effective, non-invasive way to restore flow and prevent system failures.

Signs you may need jett cleaning include slow drains, frequent backups, gurgling pipes, or foul odours. If your system hasn’t been cleaned in several years, a preventative jett cleaning can help avoid future issues.

Yes! Jett cleaning is gentle on your system when performed by trained professionals. It uses only water—no harsh chemicals—so it won’t damage your pipes, tank, or the beneficial bacteria in your system.

The frequency depends on your system’s usage, age, and condition. At BioFlow, we recommend scheduling jett cleaning if your system is 20+ years old, you notice wet spots or slow drainage, you’re not ready to replace your entire septic system, or you want to maintain your system before major issues arise.

Absolutely. Jett cleaning removes buildup before it causes serious blockages or system failures. It also helps extend the life of your septic system and can save you thousands in potential repair or replacement costs.

With full system replacements starting around $40,000, our jett cleaning service—typically priced between $5,000 to $6,000—is a significantly more affordable option.
